SPRING 2010

After spending the last few weeks recording (for our upcoming tour 7") , It's time to get back to playing shows! Lots lined up so we will be pretty damn busy for the next few months.

The new recording are now in the mastering process. I could not be happier with how they turned out. Everyone did a good job. Especially Ryan Stack (Andrews Lane Recording), he is our honorary band member. Soon we will be able to post this stuff to the internets.

Working with some cool people and it seems like a lot of exciting stuff is going to happen this summer. Touring throughout June and the writing more new stuff. Planning for our first full length release this Fall!

the ties and the bonds that won't come undone...

"I've got these friends back home, we keep each other afloat! We won't drown, because we all learned never to hold on to what's letting go!"

These are lyrics that i wrote for Late Nite Wars when i was in a very difficult situation. The people that i have surrounded myself with in the past 5+ years have helped me realize what is important. I don't know where I would be if it wasn't for a few certain individuals that came through for me. Those days have passed but the quote still stands as something I strongly believe in.

Unfortunately, people have misquoted it and taken it lightly in the past few weeks. I would just like to make it clear that every time i sing those words, i have my best friends in mind. No matter what is said or "tweeted", the integrity of that statement stands, and the people that i sing about (and with) know just what I mean.

Lots of news to update about,

First off we would like to welcome John Hadley as the new full time drummer of Late Nite Wars. You may have seen him fill-in at shows for us before. John is going to be taking the place of Timmy Z. Timmy has had to part ways with LNW so he can focus on his career and his new arrival! Timmy and Olivia are expecting in July! (Congrats Timmy and Olivia, we are all stoked for you!)

Also, we are currently playing as a four piece as Joey Rozmus has left Late Nite Wars. We want to thank Timmy and Joe for playing with us over the last 2 years. It's been a blast and we have had a lot of great times together!

Right now we are preparing for some big events,

We have started recording demos for a new record and plan to be back in the studio within the next couple of months! Our tour plans are also beginning to unfold and we will be hitting the road for a full US tour late in May through the end of June!

Thank you guys for all your support, stage dives, and high fives!

-Kevin/LNW

LNW/SG WEEKEND/PRE-ORDERS!

So last weekend we went out on a little weekend trip with our friends Such Gold (myspace.com/suchgold). After about 9 hours we finally arrived in York, PA friday nite, we played at a sweet house with a little garage setup in the back, drank natural ice and hung out. Such Gold killed it, especially their ending cover set of Movielife, Saves the Day, and Snapcase. Our set went well, played quite a few covers as well, Movielife, Get up Kids, and Stryder. Everyone at the show was really cool and pretty much stoked to have us there. It was an awesome feeling.
Later that nite we drove to Philly to stay with a friend of Such Golds who did some producing on Four Year Strongs "Rise or Die Trying" Awesome dude, who was cool enough to let us all stay there. The next day we had time to kill considering we were playing Richland, NJ that nite. So we walked around Philly and found a bar on 3rd and South that had .49cent beers. Needless to say we hung out there for a while haha.
We left for the show around 6pm, arrived in Richland, NJ about an hour later, hung out unloaded, played with I Am Alaska who was great. Played solid sets and drank a ton. This dude at the bar kept feeding us shots, we were out of it haha. Drove about 2 1/2 hours north that nite, stayed at a HoJo and got some shut eye.
Woke up, showered and headed for Mendon, MA for the RAD skatepark show. However, we forgot alllll about thanksgiving weekend traffic, and what should of been 3 1/2 hour drive, turned into 6 1/2 real quick haha. Got to Mendon to catch Maker and Transit, Such Gold was awesome as usual. All in all an awesome weekend with those dudes!

Newbury College benefit / News

Last nites show was a benefit for music programs in local schools.

Interesting is probably the best way to put it. There were many different types of acts. 2 rap groups performed, many acoustic acts (including one that covered The Cranberries - Zombie), The Bitchin' Ardvarks, and Late Nite Wars. There was a cart set up giving out free "CRUNK!" energy drink. There were balloons everywhere so we decided to tie them to all our gear when we played. All around it was a fun nite. The event (sponsored by Ernie Boch Jr.) raised $2000!

This week it is official. The Pre-orders are up!

We are now taking online orders for our 7" entitled "Every Other Saturday!" We are excited to finally have this available. It has been so long that we have been trying to release this and thanks to Jonny Limit of Arrest Records we can finally do it! The vinyl comes in three different colors, purple, white, or black and yellow splatter. There is also a limited edition t-shirt package available only through the pre-ordering the record. There are 3 songs on this release.

Side A:
I'm only going to tell you this twice
Members only Karaoke
Side B:
P.O.P.C.

We added the first song of the vinyl to our myspace page. (www.myspace.com/latenitewars) Head over there and give it a listen!

12/06/09 at Anchors Up!
Tomorrow is the Transit/Manoverboard CD release show at Anchors Up! in Haverhill. Can't wait to play back at this venue. It's been far too long.

Leftovers weekend!

The leftovers weekend with such gold was awesome. It was nice to be getting back in the van (Meredith) for a few days, even though she sometimes smells like rotting food items.
Day one went well aside from the 9 hour drive from Southern NH to York, PA. The show was small but it had a very good feel to it. Everyone there was having a good time and partying. Even after we played, the kids asked us to keep playing more stuff. Same with Such Gold. After, we decided to make the drive to Philly. Such Gold had a friend who hooked us up with a place to crash. We got lost about 3 times and added about an hour and a half to the drive. The morning was great because we had nothing else to do besides drive an hour over to Richlan, NJ that nite. We went to Genos and Pats (and Lorenzos) to get some actual Cheesesteaks! Then over to Makos for some of the cheapest beer ever offered. Meanwhile Such Duch was purhasing records on south street. The Richland show was a blast. The bartender rounded us up for some tequila shots after we played (gross). The ride after was pretty fun besides taking another detour that added about an hour to the drive. We are pretty good at messing up directions I guess. Crashed at a hotel in northern NJ (i think) at about 4 am. The last day was major traffic. All the post Thanksgiving mayhem came to a head and caused us to be late for the Mendon show. But after everything went smooth. The show was good. Said bye to Such Gold and Leftovers weekend. Thanks to everyone who came out to shows, offered us a place to stay, and made this weekend possible. It was awesome. -Kev

Wester Mass and the Such Dutch Rescue

Sooo Sunday was a ton of fun, got together with John from ex-All Star Me, he was filling in for Tim. We ran through the set worked out the kinks with John, loaded up and headed to the show in Holyoke, MA. Bunch of us in the van, Late Nite Wars+Gina+Emily+Jenn, watched Empire Records and passed time.
Got to the show only to find out our friends in Such Gold had broken down in Albany, NY and might of not been able to make it. Knowing our friends needed help we gave Devon (Such Gold), who happened to show up there with A Loss for Word, the keys to Merideth (our van) and he set sail to rescue the rest of his band. Ordered food inside only to find out the cook was too drunk to make it, and got 2 dollar beers and pizza instead.
Set went well, the turnout was great and John did a fine job filling in. Transit followed with a great set as well, in fact all the bands there were great. Maker was fantastic, perfect set for their CD release, (which you should buy if you haven't) and they got so much love. Besides the fact that all the dudes in that band are awesome kids, their music is sweet. In the midst of Makers set, Such Gold had successfully returned with their gear and sleeping bags in time to play a set.
A Loss for Words headlined and played a fun set, got a great response. All in all it was an awesome show, its great to play these shows with all the people who are friends. It definitely represents everything we stand for as far as keeping your friends close and having their backs when they need you.
This Coming weekend we will embark on a journey with Such Gold heading to York, PA Richland, NJ, and Mendon, MA...Tim won't be able to make it this weekend so our great friend Derrick from Furnace (myspace.com/furnacesucks) will be filling in! Make sure to check out the Myspace for more details! Hope to see you there and BRING US LEFTOVERS!
